2002 35 hp avenger broken front axle

I allso had it and the new axle came without the securinggroove. Had to cut one

From your picture, the as le look like the one on my Foton that break last year. There is a desing flaw on these. The locking groove is between the crown and the other bearing, so on the week side. The newer one comes with the groove on the end of splines near the inner bearing. This design is better as I understand and worthit. The bad thing I had to order a new crown to fit in the tractor hub that cost around $300 each side for those kits.
Don't forget to order gasket shims to be sure to have sone back lash between gears when reassembly. New seals too as by the time you are there, won't cost much to prevent possible leak soon.

Asian Tractor Parts, in Ontario Canada.
For me it was easier as I live in the next province (Quebec) and maybe save (?) on duty fees.
