Well I am the owner of a 2002 Cub Cadet 7260 with a 476 loader. It has 400 hours on it. It is gear shift.
I have been looking for a while at any brand I came across. I found this one for a fair price and bought it.
Any owners of this model out there? Any issues or things I should keep an eye on specific to this model?
I went and got a box blade for it today.
My first project is trying to clear the cattails out of our pond. We have been without ran for so long I can get way down inside the tank to clear it out with the tractor. Slow going but I am getting the hang of it.

Get the service manual, a torque wrench or two and check EVERY nut and bolt on that thing. Look up the MANY posts pertinent to this on this board! Warning! Warning!

I did a search on it and did not find anything on them.
Heck I was hoping to hear from somebody who actually owned one.

I own a 7265, the Hydro version of yours. It is a 1999 with Bush Hog loader and has about 600 hrs. on it. As you're probably aware, it is mfg. by Mitsubishi. Your model is now being made for Mahindra as the 2615. Cub Cadet has been marketing a different Mitsubishi tractor that is about 30hp since about 2004.

I have used mine hard at times but I try not to abuse it. I used it to move quite a bit of dirt with a Hoelscher pan, skid and stack a couple hundred logs and whole trees with grapple attachment on the loader, as well as mowing, spreading gravel etc.

I am very happy with it and I think it has held up quite well. I have not had any repairs beyond plugging nail holes in the tires.

I have read the comments about the bolts loosening. These were all regarding an earlier model than ours and I hope they had corrected it by the time the 726X's were made. Nevertheless, I keep an eye on the bolts but have never found any loose ones.
