I recently bought a 2003 bobcat s130 that would only drive no lift wouldn't unlock upon investigation needed a safety bar switch the hack before me cut off the connector trying to override it but you cant I put a switch in it and i think I wired everything right the only thing that came alive was the hand controls for the loader will work but foot controls wont unlock was working good but machine would work with the safety bar up so still wasn't wired right rewired it so safety bar would kill everything worked for 3 or 4 times turning the machine on and off now everything is dead again motor will start and idle wont give codes no headlights control box will light up give hrs show gas and temp nothing else need help

I suspect it is in wire harness based on your explanation of being hacked up. If main control box was shorted, it should be showing some codes. No idea how or what was used to repair wires, but crimp style connecters do not work very well with these low voltage signal wires in seat bar and other sensors. Might be best for long term solution to replace the cab harness.

I appreciate the help ssdoxie

I called bobcat and head tech helped me out ended up being the control panel on left hand side that displays the hrs was burnt out don't know why

But would like to ask you ssdoxie what are your thoughts why everything is alive but the feet controls wont unlock bad switch above in cab? I tired to buy one but it was four days out

Should be able to test switch for power/function. It is a Normally Open switch. When in hand control mode no voltage is sent back to the controller, in Foot Control mode power goes through switch, back to the controller and signals the controller to change programs and operate with the feet and lock the handles in place.
Hand Control is the "default" mode, so if there is problem in that switch circuit the controller switches back or stays in Hand mode.
