Sorry to hear this also, but I think you made the correct decision. Trying to do an end-around those stupid regs would end up biting you in the rear. Just goes to show you how bass ackwards this country is becoming. Perfectly good vehicle made unusable with the stroke of a pen:mur:

Saw a friend that I grew up with and he's been driving with his class A and hazmat endorsement for years...

Told me no one will touch non-compliant equipment... even yard trucks need to be registered with the air board.

Great if you are in the business of selling new or leasing.

He also said a couple of the big firms around here no longer buy... they lease... it started with the Port of Oakland restricting access to the terminal and then eliminating it entirely for older rigs and that had a cascade affect.
