Well, she's either a 2004 or 2005. Anyway, the Bush Hog #2246QT loader I have has been seeing some issues. Extremely slow to lift, lower, curl, dump. Fluids are fine, filters just changed, and still the same.

So, I was curious as to if the 14LA will work on my 29D. Again, bought her in 2005 with 1.2 hours on her so she's either a 2004 or 2005.

AND, if someone out there has a "D" series with a newer "LA" loader on it, e-mail me a few pictures in regards as to how it looks overall and the routing of the hoses. I've read on the DA series, people aren't happy with it rubbing on the blue painted parts but the older D series it would be on the black panels. Not that that's ok - I mean, I DO wash and wax my tractors, er... toys!!

If the 14 loader will not work; I think the 7308 will fit

Welcome to TBN and the Blue Forum :D! I did a brochure and internet search last evening about the compatibility of a TC29D and 14LA without much success as NH has upgraded and renamed its FEL's. I believe that the only difference between the TC D and the DA series is the "advanced" technology which included somewhat higher hydraulic capacity and some bells and whistles like breakaway hazard lights, cushioned seat, and some additional electronics, etc. I would assume that the 14LA would be compatible with the TC29D, but I would confirm that with a dealer if I was you. The 7308 is still made and is advertised as being compatible with the TC30 and "small CUT's". Good luck in your search :). The TC29DA meets my needs. Jay

PS: I will try to take some 14LA pictures for you after work tonight. My wife gets extremely jealous of the "TOY" as I take more pictures of it and my attachments than of her and/or anything breathing .

Some pictures :). You can see the black canvas-like material encasing the hydraulic ribber hoses at the edges of the pictures. They do minimize rubbing. Jay

Thanks Jay. Looks like you've got them ran on the outside of the lower bracket thus not having the rubbing problem to begin with. Assume all operates very smoothlt that way opposed to the way most dealers run them - right up against all that pretty new blue!!!

In regards to the 14LA and supposedly front axel problems due to weight, the 14LA, 7308 and Bush Hog 2246QT all spec out around the same lift capacityies but break out force is CONSIDERABLY more for the 14LA. However, moving dirt and gravel, that shouldn't cause any problems!

How do you like your 29DA? Every wish you had SS on it or had the 33 or 34?

I really like my 29DA :D! I will say that my perception is influenced by the fact that for 20 years I managed the same property with a Ford 1100 (13/11+ HP) without a FEL . There have been a few very rare ocassions when I wish I had had a much larger framed tractor (like when trying to move some really large rocks/boulders and/or pull a really big log)., but I still managed to get the rocks moved (stone boat; stone boat now DOA'd need a new one :() and I cut the logs shorter. I see no real difference between the 29, 31, 33, or 34 except price. The weight, hydraulics, and lift capacities are similar, and I do not get hung up on an HP "number". The PTO HP is plenty for my 60" attachments. I was leery of the "SuperSteer/Sensitrak" system. It does give the 29 a slightly longer wheelbase and the 15LA has slightly higher capacities (except with cycling), but it is more complicated and "automatic". I can handle an AWD car, but I like to know whether or not I am in 4WMFWD on my tractor. I will lift some turf on ocassion, but I do not have a picture perfect lawn. The standard 29 is manuverable enough for my purposes. In fact it is so much larger especially with the ROPS/FOPS than my old Ford that I have to expand my tractor trails in my woods before I can use those trails again. You should read the two reviews regarding the TC29 in TBN's Review Section and/or my rant  in that recent and horrible artVandelay thread to get an idea about the "29". I would recommend the "29" to anyone, and it is my opinion that if more people were less influenced by "numbers" and more influenced by actual tractor use the TC29 (and TC30) would be even more popular. Jay

PS: I have been moving quite a bit of dirt and rocks with no ill effects on my front axle.

FWIW I have a DX29 with the 114 loader. Same basic thing as the 29DA. I don't know that there are any major mounting point differences between the D and the DA. Check with a dealer, or maybe they have an old brochure from when your tractor was new listing the loader that went with it.

Well all, I found some interesting reading at a tech/sales only /training site for NEw Holland. Per the New Holland compatiablity chart, the TC29D & tc29DA will use the 14LA. My dealer confrimed it. So, I think I'll keep my 2004 TC29D as she's paid for and has been a real wonder around the yard, get the new curved 14LA loader - if dealer can loacte one, and hold off on a new tractor until................. Never know what kind of new goodies NH will come out next year!

Hope someone else finds this link as informative as I have. The compaiability chart is in the "Implements" Training/Sales Material" section.
