I have found a 2004 L3130 HST with FEL on CL semi locally will drive to see it tomorrow. It comes with 5 ft rotary, scraper blade, boom pole and 7 ft RFM

Owner says 550 hrs mostly mowing with RFM says it like new pics look good

I just wonder if a 3130 will satisify me in the size and power dept. I rented a new L3200 this past weekend and thought it had good power with my old 5 ft rotary mower mowing my pastures seemed to not bog like my old MF and ford do with it. I didnt like the seating now where to put my arms the fenders were too low and no arm rests my back was hurting after several hours mowing.

Anyone know what the cababilities of this Grand L 30 tractor can handle

bucktaker,

I have a L3130 and have been pleased with it so far. It has done everything I asked, but I have never used a rotary cutter either. The 3-pt hitch has ample lifting power.

The quick attach loader option is a real plus if this tractor has it... Even if you don't see an immediate need there will come a day when you might want to remove the bucket or use pallet forks.

Which FEL does it have? There were two models offered with the model number correlating to lift capacity.

The L3130 will have tilt wheel and an upgraded seat for user comfort.

Anything specific you are looking for?

Good luck with the purchase!

Good luck with the purchase!

Same...good luck!

I will add one thing...if the machine meets your needs and you like it, don't muck about with your decision. Good tractors sell fast.
On the same token...don't hesitate to walk away if it's not the tractor for you.

My neighbor had one, he liked it. The first thing you should do, is make sure the tractor climbs a hill in M gear easy. It seems some whine more than others.

I have an L3830 and use a 6 foot bush hog behind it. Yours will have no problems with a 5 footer and will work with the 6 footer, too. It's all a matter of ground speed and rpm's, anyways. That tractor is hardly broken in...

If you get it...we need to see PICS!

I had one briefly and loved but found it underpowered with the loader on the hills I have. To make use of the loader I needed quite a bit of weight to hold it on the ground which just added to the power problem. If you are just going to use it without the loader then it should be fine. It is a perfect size tractor and with the heavy loader very capable at lifting heavy items.

I loved mine. I used 5' rotary with no problems.

due to job issues didnt get to see it yet ....hopefully it will be available this weekend.

Really on the fence about this because i have always wanted more pto power.
My tractor purchases/experience
1949 8n not enough power
1953 to 35 good power no ps for loader I added no live power
1963 MF 35 deluxe added loader swapped rear tires to 14.9/24 loaded
have pulled jd 24 T baler with wagon full of hay. had this tractor 15 yrs
Some time on 55 600 ford that stays in my barn

Have told myself next tractor needs to be 50 hp so if I want to get back into haying but realitiy is I may never because my job doesnt allow that much free time. May only need a 30 hp tractor.

Found a really nice(based on Pics) 2006 mx5000 gear 4wd loader 165 hrs 300 miles away
................auuuuugggg its killing me
Which one pros, cons?

Well if you are on the fence about more power then my advice is to stay away from the 3130. It is just underpowered. 50 hp plus is a nice starting point.

Sounds like it really won't fit your needs. Buying is used is always a compromise and you need to decide what tradeoffs you can live with. I got mine used and I wish mine was a 3430 or 3830, but I really don't have an issue with what I'm doing with it so far. Sometimes more power would be nice, but then it might just get me in more trouble...

If you are looking for 50 hp min, then this is barely more than half that... Move along until you find what you need.
