Tractor
Mahindra 7520
Hello.
Needing some help with adding hydraulic fluid to a Mahindra 7520 . I just have bought this tractor, got it at a fairly good deal and trying to make sure all fluids and filters are ready to go . I have already changed engine oil ,filter, air filters, power steering filter and both fuel filters . Now i would like to change the hydraulic fluid and filters but i am not sure as to where i add the hydraulic fluid at . I have found the dipstick at the rear of the tractor above the PTO , do you put all 17.4 gallons back in at this point? Or is there another fill location that i am missing ? If anyone knows where i can get a service manual in PDF please send a link . Thanks for any and all help much appreciated

Hi Skeeter - welcome to TBN and the forum. Hydraulic oil - your dipstick "hole or tube" is about 1/4" in diameter - right? If so - that IS NOT the place to add hydraulic oil - Lordy man - it would take two years to get 17+ gallons thru that little hole. If its some sort of arrangement that you can unscrew and open a hole the size of a quarter or bigger - then YES - that's where you add it. Get yourself a flex hose funnel and go at it.

My Kubota has - slightly above the pto shaft - one side the dip stick - other side the fill port with screw in cap. Look around - it could be most anywhere on the transmission.

You should be able to get an Operators manual - free from your dealer - or very close to free. Service manual you can also get from your dealer or on line but you will pay for that. Usually around $50. Be certain that any service manual you purchase is current with all the latest updates and not some old rag that way out of date.

Yes, that is the point to fill from. And with about a 1" size hole, you should have no problems filling.

Very highly recommend that you get the owners manual at the least. This will give you all the information you need to be able to operate and maintain the tractor properly.

"spend a small fortune" - - I understand completely. Mine takes 16.5 gallons for hydraulic oil change.
