Price Check 2005 New Holland TC40D Price Check

Hello all, thank you all for contributing to this forum... Tons of awesome info. Wanted to run this by you... I saw a recent post on a TC40A and was wondering how it stacked up. I'm going to look at a used 2005 TC 40D hydrostatic tomorrow (I can't believe the place is actually open on Sunday!) and am interested in what you guys think a fair price would be to offer... Here is the info from the dealers listing.

New Holland TC40D Local Sell out Tractor Customer Bought tractor from us 5 Years ago and we did routine service on it each year. Customer sold due to selling of property where tractor was being used. Excellent Tractor Ready For Work

It's listed for $17,950 which I think might be a little high but I'm not sure just how high...

Completely forgot to add it has 1520 hrs.

I traded an 880 hour 1720 New Holland several months ago. It was a 99 model in excellent condition. I valued it at $12,500 retail. The 40 is more tractor. 18K is too high. To me it's worth 15k.

Thanks for the info... Went down to test drive and the dealer frequently rents out their used inventory. Guess the new holland came back needing the fuel filter replaced so could not drive but I think I've eliminated it tho... In casually talking to the dealer he doesn't seem to want to budge much on price any lower than 17 or so
