Howdy,
Can anyone out there help me with a problem I have with my recently acquired tractor. It only has 307 hours on it. I was using it yesterday with no problems, and then all of a sudden the clutch just quit working. It is not slipping, it act as if it is stuck engaged, as if you have not taken your foot off of the pedal. I am a diesel mechanic and have installed many clutches in 18 wheelers. I heard no loud noises no grinding, nothing. The hydraulics work fine. I can put the tractor in gear, change the range , or anything I want to without pushing in the clutch and there is no grinding noise, gear noise or anything.the clutch pedal is up at the top; I adjusted the free travel on the clutch pedal which was already OK,but still nothing.I have rear many post about the studs on the clutch coming loose and falling out, but that would lead me to believe that the clutch would never quit grinding and you could not get it into gear. The PTO seems to go in gear fine. Please Help !!!
