What is a new GT3200 54" deck with aprox. 12 hours worth?

How does this machine compare with a Cub Cadet M60 "tank" zero-turn mower in grass cutting abilities? On hills?

Probably somewhere around $5500+. It's hard to compare a GT with a ZTR as they are vastly different machines. IMO, a GT will be better on hills, but commercial guys dont seem to have a problem on hills with ZTR's. A ZTR is designed to cut grass fast.

Im thinking the 3200 has the edge on hills with a diff. lock....I would say the M60 has a big edge on grass cutting since its a commerical machine, and a faster blade tip speed. I think it costs more too! However the 3200 is much more versatile, and provides an excellent cut with the 54" deck (on ground or suspended settings)...The 3200 can cut grass up to 8MPH maybe not as fast as the M60, but thats pretty good on smooth ground....

Thanks guys.

I guess I should have given some background info as to why I'm asking....

I inherited a new GT3200. It has only 10-12 hours on it. I have a TC24DA with all of the attachments (FEL, B-hoe, various blades, brush hog, etc), so my "tractor" needs are well addressed with that. I use the NH to mow with using a Woods RD60 mower. I takes me a fair amount of time to mow everything that I mow. Not only do I rack up the hours mowing, I use the NH for a side business mainly with the backhoe attachment.

I really don't need another tractor, as the GT is minimal in its abilities compared with the NH.

The dealer has offered almost full price trade what my grandfather paid for it towards a new M60 ZTR. They have reduced the price of the M60 ZTR this month and it pretty close results in an even trade.

My thoughts are that I could reduce the hours I spend mowing and improve the quality of cut, plus reducing the hours put on my NH. Either way, I have two machines to maintain.

I have read reviews on the M60, and most professionals have highly reccomended them compared to other ZTR's out there.

I think I have answered my own question, just looking for other input.

Thanks.

Let us know which direction you lean towards...you mention you use the BH for side work, so maybe the M60 will enable you to maintain (cut grass) as well? You now have expanded your offerings -

P.S sorry for your loss -

Thanks, he was a great generous man. He will be very much missed around here.

I will taking delivery of the new M60 "tank" on Saturday. I ended up with a minimal amount of cash in the difference. I think that this will be better suited for me to maintain both properties while keeping hours down on the NH.

This will certainly make someone a good tractor, unfortunately not me.

BTW, the tank has a 27hp Kohler Command (non EFI). I suppose the track record for these is good?
