Hi Guys,

A guy not too far from me has had a B3030 with turf tires for sale for quite some time and I am going to take a look at it. The tractor has the old seat so it needs the swap. This machine has turfs and about 25 hours on it along with the 72" mmm, bagger and a new loader that has never been on the tractor. This machine has never been outside in the weather. The guy claims he paid like 25K, wanted 21K and now wants 16.5K for the tractor, mower and collection system. He is looking for 19 with the loader. Anyone wanna tell me what they would give? I am not real big on top-dollar used equipment with no hours and a self-administered warranty program. I am thinking, forget the bagger, I could buy a new one CASH for about 18 or so. I might throw 16K in cash in the wallet and stop over to see him.

Have you priced out a new unit similiarly equipped? That would be a starting point. I would think at least 15% less than new price would be close.

This will give you a starting point. Dealer quote on a brand new tractor.
B3030 with the R4 tires "charges extra for tires" $14,500, the FEL is $3,400, 60" mid mount mower is $2,300. That comes to a total of $20,200 plus tax. So for what he has to offer I do not think it is to far off.

You would be getting a almost brand new tractor for a good price plus you would not be paying tax.

I've seen the tractor, and it appeared to me he is asking more for his used tractor than i'd pay for the same tractor new. If you were buying the whole thing for 16ish you'd be getting a great deal though !

I'd say you need to knock of at least 20% from the price of a new one. Between the economic conditions, the remaining short term on the warranty, and the fact that Kubota will sell you a brand new one with full warranty with 0/42 financing, used equipment is not looking too good right now, especially if it is priced too close to new.

There are quite a few overpriced lightly used machines out there right now, and that trend will probably continue for a bit.
