2006 Massey 1533 PTO will not engage

I have checked the gear lever and in neutral the shaft turns free, in forward position pto will not turn. When I turn the yellow knob, the indicator light on the instrument cluster comes on and yellow button lights up. Whether I push the yellow button or not the pto shaft will not turn under its own power. Is there a switch or solenoid to check? If the solenoid is bad will the instrument cluster light still come on?

I could be the knob or the fuse or a solenoid on the firewall. You can snap the rotary switch apart to clean it up an put some grease on. The PTO has a electro-hydraulic clutch. A lot of help huh? :confused2:

I'm thinking a solenoid of some type. I wondered if the instrument cluster light would still come on with a bad solenoid.

I know this was a while back but I'm having same issue on my MF 1533. Did you ever figure your issue out?
