Why are they going to a 27, were there complaints about 25hp not enough for that size frame ?

People who own the CK25HST are not complaining about power. There is however a general marketing trend to increase HP whenever possible and there are also some issues related to emissions standards that cause companies to develop new engines. I'm not sure which of those factors has led to the change over from CK25 to CK27 and CK30 to CK35 but rest assured that the CK25 is a fine machine. Getting HST for free is a great deal.

At least one dealer stated that the reason for the hp upgrade was mostly due to new emissions requirements, and the subsequent design chosen just happened to produce a few more hp. If you can get a CK25HST for the price of gear, grab it. Very good tractor.
