Hello all 1st post, I have read the threads on the adjusting of the linkage but my issue seems different i can move the shifter and see the linkage move but it seems to stay in one forward gear only (medium i think) and won't go in to reverse. It was working fine in the middle of a job pounding posts then it stopped in neutral and could not get it into any gear messed with the shifter and the linkage at the same time and got it into a gear and now it is in only one gear. any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks SDF

Hmmmmm..... Definitely sounds like a linkage/adjustment problem. Can't see any way you can get any solid advice with what information you've provided. I'd trace all the linkage systems and look for a broken cable, part or and adjustment that has vibrated loose and let itself out of adjustment. Sorry I can't be of more help.

If the shifter was forced while the gears had tension on them then the shifter lever could of popped out of the slots on the shifting forks shafts. Had to pull the shifter cover off and reset the forks to neutral and replace cover on my 1100 once.

When shifting either depress brake peddle fully until pressure is bled off the hydro or sometimes speeding up and letting up on the peddle suddenly while moving the shifter lightly as the drivetrain unwinds will let it slip into neutral. Trying to shift with tension on the gears or while the hydro is holding back with dynamic braking on a hill is not advised.

Thanks for the info ovrszd and David I will trace the linkage first and see what I can find. The Kubota shop said the said there was no issues with the shifter and would have to bring in for them to repair
Thanks again

Could be a cable issue, it happened to mine.

Take cable off completely, then using hand or adjustable wrench shift to see it you have all speeds.

I managed to "fix" range of travel with my cable be switching ends and bending back kinked portion. I think there is a metal sleeve under the rubber boot.

We had 900's at work. Some drivers solution to stuck shift levers was to just pull harder. Several sets of cables were ruined.
All that was required to unjam the shifters was to step heavy on the foot brakes. This releases the oil pressure in the transmission .
