I was brushogging yesterday when the engine stopped. It will start then it revs by itself, and dies. It only runs for maybe 3 seconds or so. Has anyone had this happen?
I haven't had a chance to look at fuses or anything yet as it got dark on me.

I haven't had this happen on me, but it sounds like a fuel delivery issue. I know this sounds odd, but make sure you have fuel (in the tank), and then make sure you have good fuel flow from the tank and then after the filter. Basically, you want to ensure you're getting fuel to the pump.

As justman suggested check fuel flow from the tank. You could have blockage allowing enough to seep by to start the engine but the seep is so slow it won't continue to run. You could also have a clogged or collapsed fuel filter. Many have complained of algae growing in the tank preventing proper flow. If that's your situation consider an algicide.

Ok I'll check that, but it seems like it is getting fuel but something is shutting it off immediately. I can start it then it dies then I can restart it as soon as it dies. I did that probably 5 times in a row with no hesitation in starting.

Not uncommon for a vehicle with fuel delivery issues. Fuel pressurizes the rail, but as soon as there's not enough fuel to maintain pressure, it dies. I think the pump runs for just a bit each time to maintain pressure, so it's pulling whatever it can.

I pulled the hose off after the pump and it seems to have a little pressure while the engine is turning over, but as soon as it starts it really jets out of the hose.
I plan to go by my Kioti dealer this week and see what they have to say. From what I've read, I'm leaning towards a bad stop solenoid.
Btw, thanks for the responses. I will post what I find out.

You can have fuel jetting out for a brief time but then drop off.

I've had similar issues when I had icing (clearly that's not the case for you now since it's summer!). I'm pretty sure the source of the problem was water in the fuel (crappy locking fuel cap from the dealer- once I got a new one that was of a different design I no longer have had problems with water in the fuel); ice pellets forming in the tank and blocking off the outlet; I've NEVER encountered anything link this (because nowhere else have I had water in fuel issues). I could prime the pump and it would start and run for a few seconds and then die. Also had a stick shove itself against the hose near the outlet on the fuel tank and pinch the hose: I think this was a complete no start op?

I'd test the voltage on/at the shutoff valve. If a new machine, though, let the dealer sort it all out as you don't want to muck something up and then it be on your dime.

Ok found that when the yellow wire going to the Display Unit is grounded, it will run just fine. Replaced the Display Unit. Problem hasn't changed. Went ahead and cleaned the battery ground to frame, but still no change.
