2008 Mahindra 2525 Alternator

I am looking for an alternator for my 2525. I found one for $680.00. Looking for a cheaper price or is that what I should expect to pay. The tractor only has 150 hrs so I'm surprised it went out but it is what it is.

I'm not sure on that specific model but someone will be able to rebuild it for much less. I have a guy who does that for a living and has for years. Haven't seen anything that was over about $150- but that may be the friend price. He can typically turn them around in a few hours- he has to let the paint dry...haha

You should be able to find one ( a rebuilt one ) or have it rebuilt like RNeumann posted. I am guessing $680 was a dealer price. A little snooping around and I bet you get a lot better price. Good luck.

Go find yourself a starter/generator/alternator rebuild shop and get it rebuilt. It will probably only cost you about a hundred bucks or so. Like as not the only thing wrong with it is worn out brushes which is a buck ninety eight problem if you do it yourself. Maybe the bearings could use replacing too but it's usually only brushes and a clean up. There are shops all over the places and some are online as well.
