RollingsFarms said:just going on what i've been told by JD mechanics. maybe it varies with different makes of tractors? they told me that if i was even SLIGHTLY considering a loader, even if i planned on getting it 10 years from now, to go ahead and install the SVC's because it would cost you out the @$$ to do that down the line. cheaper to go ahead now, even if i wasnt going to purchase the loader at the same time i bought the tractor. i'm sure the mechanics have no interest in what the dealer sells as they aren't the ones who get the sales commision. just helpful advice on their part, and also i've seen it mentioned here dozens of times to do this because its cheaper now, then in the future.
It usually IS cheaper to buy accessories with a tractor. But it has nothing to do with splitting the tractor (again????). That is the part I take exception to.
