just going on what i've been told by JD mechanics. maybe it varies with different makes of tractors? they told me that if i was even SLIGHTLY considering a loader, even if i planned on getting it 10 years from now, to go ahead and install the SVC's because it would cost you out the @$$ to do that down the line. cheaper to go ahead now, even if i wasnt going to purchase the loader at the same time i bought the tractor. i'm sure the mechanics have no interest in what the dealer sells as they aren't the ones who get the sales commision. just helpful advice on their part, and also i've seen it mentioned here dozens of times to do this because its cheaper now, then in the future.

It usually IS cheaper to buy accessories with a tractor. But it has nothing to do with splitting the tractor (again????). That is the part I take exception to.

The TT45A and TT50A are 2wd only, the TT60A and TT75A are available in 4wd. The 620TL loader for the TT60A is not a quick detach from the tractor loader. Your trade allowance is a bit low, basically you're getting $1000 off the price of the tractor and $500 for your tractor. But, if the 5000 has a serious problem, it may only be worth scrap value. The loader price is about right, but is full retail. Loaders don't have a lot of markup, so getting that price down is unlikely. I agree that it would be far better to get the loader in the 0 for 36 months, loader prices will continue to rise and who knows what the interst rate will be in the future. I'd try to get another $1000 or so on the trade.
The 5000 does have a problem and "may" need a full overhaul. There is a clanking in the engine and the "oil pressure" light stays on so they are saying the 1500 is what the wholesaler will give them for it as they have to take into consideration the worse case scenario. With that being said, what do you think of the 15675 plus the 1500 for trade?

Beal13,

I wish that you were closer to my dealership in Georgia. I could beat that price on the tractor, but the loader and the trade-in amount seem good.

I agree with RickB - no splitting of the tractor is required to add loader.

Thanks, I wish I had more options around here too. I had my mind made up on going with blue but the dealer wouldn't budge anymore on pricing and another NH dealer in the area was trying to sell me a model I really didn't want, so I ended up going with orange as they were very aggressive on cutting their price down until I was comfortable with the deal. They would have had a customer for life but treated me like they were already doing so much for me that they couldn't believe I was asking for lower pricing. Oh well, in the end, I'm very happy with my new tractor.
