I have found what I consider a good deal on a 2008 4520 (32,900). This is with the cab and fel. However I can get a new 2009 with fel for 35,149.oo. The new 2009 has economy pto and more hp. Will i notice the diffrence? Any suggestions are welcomed.

$2249 will buy a couple of attachments, I'd say the only real reason for e pto is fuel economy, and that is use based. also, not knowing how each is optioned it's hard to really compare.

the only real differance is the economy pto and load match. the 2009 has 50 ptp horsepower as the other has 45.

2009 also has w throttle linking the transmission and engine together like a car.

What kinds of use to do you have in mind for your new tractor? Five hp at the pto is "noticable" for jobs that involve mowing, tilling, tedding, etc.

It is also a noticable difference with heavy ground engagement work. (Although, some will argue that a loss of traction will be more "noticable" before the additional Hp comes into play.)

It really depends upon what/how you plan to use your new 4520.

IMO - If I were looking for a compact/utility tractor to use an 8' disc harrow, an 8' HD rear blade, an 84" or 81" rototiller, a 7' HD box blade, etc. with; I'd want those 5 added ponies..

If you can get by with a foot less on each of those implements - get the 45Hp 4520.

Best of luck.

Thanks, mostly will be using the tractor for bush hog work. However, I will need to maintain several 5 acre crop areas. I also will be using it for my food plots for deer. I currently have 6' implements. However, I would like to know if by getting the 50hp on pto if i could go up in size?

Consider with 6' implements you can increase your ground speed if you have more power and achieve about the same thing. Both tractors will handle the same implements but the new one will run slightly faster when loaded.
