2009 BX 2660 traveling/parking brake won't spring back without manual adjustment

Just finished resolving one problem and low and behold another one.

Brake pedal will not spring back after being released. Checked the spring return and it seems fine. Reading through the service manual now wondering if this is a disc or ball valve issue? About to do the next 400 hour service on hydraulics, so who knows. Appreciate any insight.

Well, I'm not sure what or how to call it. You can push to brake or lock it. No other brake on tractor and always would spring back after releasing manual lock.

The only thing I've done while troubleshooting the electrical issue is remove the left rear wheel to reach a safety switch, pulled the dash panel to check for bad wires (included removing steering wheel etc) and blew compressed air multiple places. I can't see any obstruction around the brake mechanism and no noise. I can manually pull the brake to the full release position, so my fear is that it is internal. And why now?

This may sound silly but have you tried rocking it fore and aft? Something might have a slight bind, like a parking pawl, that needs a nudge.

My LS started doing that on parking brake after hurricane Ian flooding. Im guessing it's corrosion on a pivot point, but I haven't dug into it yet since a little jiggling frees me up. Any adjustment nuts for return spring tension?

I can move and use the tractor, or at least it appears. I just can't use the brake or lock it, without bending down to pull it back. I just drove up and down the drive, backwards and forwards, nothing is releasing or changing how the brake stays put... weird for sure.

and no amount of jiggling is changing how it responds. I can move it to NON-brake position with my hand, almost feels like something is binding and spring isn't strong enough to return. Can't find anything binding it, so I'm assuming the worse now that it is internal.

Any chance you bent the linkage pulling the wheel? Given all the other stuff you were working on, it seems unlikely you have two unrelated problems (electric and brake). Maybe when you were checking the safety switch on the brake?

Wheel removed was on left side, brake linkage is on the right. Appreciate the "what ifs" though. Just like the electrical, I had exhausted any ideas I had. Thanks.
