This picture was originally posted on the Mopar Accessories web page by accident. The new Ram is less aggressive looking, in my opinion. If you look closely, you can see a storage bin on the top of the cargo box. The 1500's will get rear coils, some other suspension mods are rumored. Is this the 2009 Dodge Ram? - Autoblog

I still like the looks of my 2003 Ram 1500 HEMI the best. This newest style looks too much like a Furd and is too soft. If they keep this style, they lose that big bold look of the massive Ram grill. I bet it's a lot more aerodynamic though! :D

Looks decent. (We own a 2006 Ram 2500). The cab looks like a full crew-cab vs. the current quad cab. The bed looks awfully short; that combo would make it just like crew cab/tiny bed combos from Ford and Chevy. The styling does look a lot like F150 to me.

Coil springs are interesting. But leaf springs work very well for what pickups are meant to do.

IMHO, Chrysler needs to address quality, gas mileage, and the reasonable expectations of whether Chrysler LLC will be in business 10-15 years from now in order to sell more product.

I read elsewhere that the Hemi is getting more power for 2009, maybe close to 400hp. That would make it very competitive in the hp race, but I think gas mileage will continue to be a big issue, and GM has a big lead on mpg in full size 1/2 ton pickups.

We just traded our 2001 Dodge Durango for the gas mileage reason my wife was averaging about 13.5 mpg and driving 70 miles round trip a day, just got too expensive. picked up a Chevy equinox and she is getting about 25 mpg thats quite a difference, and still has a SUV look and feel for driving with AWD. nice vehicle so far, but I dont get to drive it much. MH

No joke! I had a Ford 4x4 302 5 spd manual with 3.55 gears standard cab long box that only got 14 mpg. Went to a chev 4x4 5.3L, 3.73 gears, 4 sp auto, ext cab short box and got 16.5 mpg. This is from tracking every drop on both trucks. Oh, the chev spent much much more time towing heavier loads too.

On the freeway, the fords best ever was 16.2 mpg. The Chev was 20.6.

More power, more room, auto trans, steeper gears and better milage.

What I dislike about the 21st century pick-ups in general, especially Fords; is the extremely limited visibility directly behind the deep bed & high/tall tailgate? I don't know if GM's or Dodge is as visibility restricted when backing? I think a back-up warning horn on the Fords should be mandatory; one is totally blind in visibility, and the side view mirrors give limited help. Just my opinion!

Not much difference to me. I still like the looks of the GMC, then Chevrolet, then Ford. Imight get a Dodge for the Cummins diesel, but otherwise would go for GM.

Alan L. you must be a "Lonesome Dove" fan too. You can't trust a man that would rent a pig.

I'm not sure I like the soft lines either. I think I'll stick with the 03 for a while.

2009 may not be a problem...Dodge may not be around to produce it...:rolleyes:
