2009 XUV has red hot exhaust pipe?

I have a 2009 XUV with about 45 hours, I noticed a lack of power yesterday and discovered a red hot exhaust pipe. The engine was running cool (not even the cooling fan was on). I checked for exhaust blockage and air flow around the pipe. Everything looks good and normal. Any suggestions? The unit is still under warranty, so I am planning on taking it to the dealer tommorow, i just dont want to waste my time if it is something simple.

it could have a blockage in the carb causing it to run lean, i would get it to the dealer promptly, you could melt a hole in the piston.

whoops it is a fuely, it could have a clogged injector, bad sensor, weak fuel pump, still could burn a piston.

check that spark arrestor too . don't know about the xuv but the rhino exhaust will glow red hot all the way to the head of the engine .infact it's not a good idea to park a rhino in tall dry grass because it has been known to catch fire and burn the whole unit up. the xuv just might be the same way i never looked at my hpx muffler to see what it did at night .

Environmental regulations force manufacturers to add spark arresters on many types of equipment.
Sparks are generally carbon or soot from unburned fuel and known to cause forest fires.

I know that many logger types remouve the arresters on chain saws as they then run much cooler as well as develop more power.

Read somewhere that you can not use an ATV in state parks without an arrester installed.
