200cx capabilities on a 2520

What is the real lift limits of this combo. (properly ballasted) One dealer has spec sheet that says around 800lbs and another at just over 1000lbs. I need real stories and experiences. Pics would be great. FYI I have the 61" bucket and looking at pallet forks.

Andy , the specs are quite conservative. in the real work envornment
the 2520 will lift and do more than what is wrote on paper.
I myself have done things and lifted things , and carried large objects
like machines and logs i did not think it would carry . but it did...

I use the Frontier fixed rail pallet forks. and thay work great

Andy, I've had my 2520 for a year and a half now, using it in many different projects. I have yet to find the outer limit of it's capabilities yet. The only time I came close was when I was excavating virgin soil made up of heavy clay/wet loamy soil/and watermelon size boulders. I did notice that after hours of use, and the hydraulic fluid heating up, I was not getting full height when lifting a full bucket. I must comment that at this point I think I was past the safe stability point of this size tractor considering the terrain and slope I was working on. Use common sense, the 2520 will measure up to everything you want to accomplish.

We are all passionate about the machines we use - the good thing is most of us who have (and in just this thread alone) the 2520 have posted pictures on this board that show the machines very conservative capabilities - and then some. If you do a search based on member, you will find them -

Thanks boys, just put my first hour+ on it. Beats the pants off the 2210-for pulling, pushing and lifting (plus it sounds like a real tractor). Looking forward to using you guys as a resource and picking your brain.

Just remember the sales pitch in the 2210 brochure, "this little tractor will move mountains one bucket at a time". I can vouch for the validity of these words. Are the hydraulics quick, no, at least in the mind of those exposed to faster machines. But is there a better value out there? Time will only tell . . .

629lbs is the honest figure. Thats measured in the bucket, to full height. Its also the figure that New Holland, Kubota and most of the rest of the industry use. It will lift more at lower heights and when the load is closer to the tractor. The dealers who gave you those figures do so to make their product look better. If you put 1000lbs in the bucket and tried to lift it all the way up you'd be very disappointed.

So far everybody who did hasnt been let down yet - posted pictures doing it on this board - as the doubting thomas that you are with competitive products, sometimes truth, pictures and real world experiences will speak volumes. In this case myself and others have told you so more than a year ago - Kubota B2630/B3030 does not have the hydrolic advantage over the 2520. They have a better tranny, larger backhoe and more PTO power (b3030), but no advantage in lifting ability - I dont spend my time trying to make my machine look better than it is - it does it all by itself

My original offer of proving this at some mutually agreeable location still stands -
