Question for all of you out there, I have a 200cx loader that I store in my garage in the off season, Does anyone make some type of stand,(on wheels of course) that I can put under my loader when I remove it, that will allow me to push it around my storage area so I can better access the storage space I have. I am wondering if it is even possible. Maybe some of you out there have seen such an item, or have fabricated one. I would appreciate any ideals and pictures you may have or know of......Thanks:D

Dale,

I've made dollies for all my attachments including a 300CX & they work pretty well.

I used ordinary framing lumber and dolly wheels from Northern Tool.

If you have or can get a pallet truck you may be able to get away with just solid pallets and save the expense of heavy duty dolly wheels.

The loader dolly is the most difficult because of the load on it when raising the front tractor wheels off the ground when connecting or disconnecting the loader.

Rather than build the dolly strong enough to support the tractor when connecting the loader I just slip solid blocks under the dolly until the loader is connected or disconnected.

I am neither young, blond, attractive nor female which from the JD videos seems to be a requirement for their attachments to connect as easily as they show. The dollies not only make for more compact storage but rolling the attachment to the tractor is a lot easier.

If you have the JD front hitch pay attention to the height of the loader dolly cross member that has to slider under it.

Good luck & stay warm

Great news, at least I now know that what I want to do is possible, My 200cx is a little smaller than your 300cx, any pictures or dimensions of what you have designed? I hate to re-invent the wheel. Sounds like you have a pretty good design....

Dale,

The loader is on the dolly for the winter, I'll try to take some pictures of it tomorrow & post them.

Except for the wheels I just used what was on hand so I'm sure that you can improve upon the design.

Dale,

Here are two photos of my loader dolly, the yellow level is four feet long and included for scale.

In the front photo the top cross 2x6 keeps the bucket from sliding forward off the dolly or over-center of the wheels.

In the side photo the yellow level is on a dolly rail, that rail needs to be modified so it is flush on top for the loader parking stand shoes to slide along when mounting or dismounting the loader.

The cross member under the parking stand shoes needs to be repositioned under the rails so it clears the front blower mount & PTO bearing when sliding the dolly under the tractor.

Each rail needs to be centered under each parking stand shoe but the total width must still fit between the front tractor wheels.

The dolly wheels all swivel and are urethane on steel which rolls easily over concrete and haven稚 flat spotted over winter.

The JD procedure for latching/unlatching the loader requires the tractor front wheels be raised off the ground (or dolly) by the bucket cutting edge; this dolly is not strong enough for that too so I just temporarily slip scrap wood under it to take the extra load.

So far the best price I致e found for dolly wheels is at Northern Tool but if you need 4 or 5 dollies to store attachments it might be less expensive to just build pallets and buy one pallet truck.

Stay warm

Thanks for posting your photos of the loader stand, this well help me to redesign one for my 200cx loader, mine is a little smaller that yours, I would like to try to build mine out of square tubing if possible, the wheels seem to work well on yours, maybe I will get the same type or may get some solid steel wheels, I will check out Northern tool and burdens surplus supply.....but thanks for all your time....A Picture is worth a thousand words, I will post my design when I get it finished....Dale:)

do you have a problem with these moving around? Two of them must go under the bucket, and two go under the parking stand?

no trouble moving on concrete floor, I don't park loader on them, I just lift bucket corner and kick it under, same with the kick stand, I would not have thought that this would work but I had the wheels already thought I would try works good.
