Is there a spring at end of cable (on rear diff) meant to pull the cable and lever back when foot removed from pedal?
have a pedal sticking down a bit (lock NOT engaged) that slowly rises back up. was not able to get close look at end of cable to see if there is a spring.
have not yet found anything on diagrams but am still looking.
acting like old cable sticking a bit just want to check to see if anyone knows.
searched here but didn't see any related to this actual issue.
thanks

AHA I found right diagram, is a spring there and is on tractor. looks like cable itself just acting up.
now need to see where can order a 6254509M92 cable cheaply

Maybe cable is just dry and needs lube or has dirt in it?

probably but its 10 years old and all 10 years in Maine and had been running snowblower for years. more than likely corrosion. going to try to lube it and see.
did see that dealer set my park bake too tight pedal never travels enough to kick off the cruise or kick diff lock cable back. will adjust that tonight.

you know I am a decent mechanic, had schooling done lot of stuff over many decades....and still make STUPID mistakes.
note to self: when lying under something looking at it all reversed....the SPRING returns the cable/actuator. if its sloppy it ain't the cable at fault.
so yeah...
4265419M1 SPRINGAPPROX 4.5 OVERALL LENGHT

is what I need.
so if anyone ever needs part numbers fast for a 2010 GC2400 Diff cable and spring they are here.

cable: 6254509M92
spring: 4265419M1

Mines 11 years old with 5 months + ice/snow and still functions ok, maybe the spring got snagged on something while driving over it and then got stretched ?

Hope your parts fix it.

If you look at the shift fork in the differential, you sill see why no one should ever force the locking bar/pedal to engage the lockup.

could be a snag could be age, hard to say.
it engages/disengages easily which is good. yeah I've dealt with broken lock forks before on other things, not fun.
last coil of the spring is distorted a bit, even with pedal all way up and lock fully unlocked spring has little free play in it.

It's a good find anyway-one spring and done!
Let us know how it goes.

well night and day difference for a (with tax) 17$ spring. still not perfect though, looks like the pedal to mount spindle is sticking. looks like the bushing may have some crud in it. will pull and clean bushing (or replace if scarred/gouged FWIW part # is 4264767M1) in next week or so. no hurry as pedal isn't actually sticking now just a little slow to recover, differential lever itself recovers fast with cable disconnected at pedal end and pedal is sluggish by hand.
