My wife is just loves flowers and wildflowers in particular. She has quite a collection of reference books and a growing collection of photographs we have captured over the past 6 years or so. This past weekend she set us up for a trip to Carrizo Plains National Monument-which is a hidden valley preserve around 35 miles East of bakersfield. We were not dissapointed by the spectacular wildflower bloom in the park. Of coarse getting off-road and out into the plains helps in locating some of the best displays. Hoping some of you will add some images of spring wildflowers from your area too.
