2011+- Mahindra 2015HST Glow plug/electrical issue

Hello, I am new to your forums and hope someone out there has seen or heard of the issue I am having with my Mahindra. I recently inherited this tractor from my Dad and know it was giving him issues for a year or so. I have no experience with diesel engines but upon inspection found that there was no wire attached to the bar connecting the glow plugs, I found a portion of the wiring harness sitting on the top of the engine that seems to be correct length. The problem is that two wires come out of the harness, one is a flat connector and the other is round with hole that looks like it should connect to a post. I stopped by a Mahindra dealer and they had no idea why there would be 2 wires. I didn't have anything with me to check for power when I last worked on it. If anyone knows if both wires should be used or if its just an extra that would be great. Wish I had taken a picture.

Typically a glow plug or intake manifold heater would have 1 wire. This wire would send power to the heater. It would be easy enough to hook up your volt meter, turn the key and read the voltage. Typically it will show voltage for 30” or so.

I looked on my 2615 to see if my wiring is similar. I have a bundle of 3 wires, one goes to the glow plug bar, and the other two, Y/R, Y/B go to the thermostat housing.
