LS 3039 SH TRANS
Hi LS Folks,

I have a strange problem with my stock FEL hydraulic quick connect on my LS 3039 (shuttle trans). I bought the tractor new in 2011 and never had an issue. Last weekend, I removed the FEL and left it on my level asphalt driveway and cut my pastures like normal. When I was done, I lined up the tractor perfectly with the FEL and attempted to reconnect the 4 hydro hoses, but could not get them to lock in place like they should, so I could not reattach the FEL. It's like there is still pressure present on the FEL hoses. All pressure was released at the FEL controller handle with the engine off when I first dropped it in place, so I cannot imagine what is wrong. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help as always!

Temperature rise while it sat off the tractor can cause line pressure to built. Try depressing the fittings and letting a small amount of fluid out. Few of the grapple threads talk about this and how to deal with it. Be sure to wear gloves and put a rag over the fiting before depressing the ball.

If you have a 3 pt mower on make sure it is resting on ground. I found that helps.

Thanks! Your suggestion was right on. I went out early this morning while the temperature was still cool outside and was able to push the center release in each hose using a punch toll. Unlike the day when I tried that when I could not push the center release because the FEL I assume now was cold, thus allowing the pressure to decrease. I have not reattached the FELto the tractor yet, but I'm sure it will be no problem now. Thanks for everyone's help. Thanks again!
