Took delivery on a new 2012 Bobcat E50 Friday afternoon. Needed to add to the fleet. With the mild winter we have booked enough work already to bring us half way into 2013. Business is growing rapidly The economy in my area is starting to rebound. I have done my part in buying American and plan on adding at least two more Bobcat's to my fleet. A E60 and a E80 will be ordered within the next few months. It's been a long dry spell. I almost lost everything i owned and worked for my entire life. Hopefully everyone out there can begin to recover and get some hope into their lives.

I hope you continue to prosper too. That's a nice machine. I'm running a 335 and enjoying it and look forward to upgrading someday. I hope the weather cooperates and you can get to the work you have booked.. Good luck!

Congrats on your new excavator! Great lookin' machine! Also good to hear that things are on the upswing in your area and some room for optimism.

The E series are very nice. I think all of them are US made with the exception of the E26 (Czech rep), E60 and E80 (South Korea).

PAfarmer,

Did you look at the E55? I think is basically the same machine with a heavier counterweight. Also, I thought I read somewhere that you might get the extra counterweight kit for the E50 (maybe on lawn site). Did you go that route?

Tx,

Mark

The E55 comes standard with the long arm (optional on E50) and has slightly longer house to move the weight farther to rear. It does extend over the outside of the track when swung to 90*.

I Looked at all of the New "M" series machines including the E55 and also ALL of the competitions models. I choose the BOBCAT E50 because thats what i needed and could afford to purchase and simply because it was by far the best value for my hard earned dollars. I am very happy with the machine. I did not get the weight kit for it yet, but am planning on it later this Spring. I can't say enough good things about these new BOBCAT "M" series machine. Very , Very pleased with it. I do run Deere Track Loaders but am switching those over to BOBCAT as well, probably T770's. The only DEERE construction equipment left in my modest fleet will be my 2008 450JLT dozer. and my 85C excavator. ..thanks for the kind comments and questions.
