Last night I went to move a little bit of snow in front of my Garage and the Loader Valve on my 2800 hst broke inside. I went to rotate the bucket to dump and the handle went soft like something let go inside at the bottom of the handle. I was unable to rotate the bucket, but was able to raise and lower it still.

I still have some Warranty left on the backside of the 4 years and I am curious if this is covered. Or has anyone else had this problem with their 2400/2800 model Branson 4x4 tractors.

Thank you for any advice you can provide.

Steve

I would think that would be covered under warranty. I have had very good success with Cascade Tractor, the Branson dealer in Spokane, in fixing a couple of minor warranty items I had with my new Branson. They were very responsive.
One thing you might try, if you are keeping your tractor outside, is to heat the loader valve with a hair dryer or something similar. We have had some pretty nasty weather. It may not help, but if the problem is somehow cold weather related, it might just help.

I keep store it in my garage detached from the house. It's not heated and it is cold out right now, 21degrees. I will try Cascade and se if they can help. Because I didn't buy it from them I don't think they like to help out much. I tried calling them about a mower I bought a while back and after saying I didn't buy it from them I was hung up on basically even though they are a supposedly accredited Warranty facility for Toro.

These are two pictures of the mount itself after I pulled the cover off to reveal that the attachment plate has broken and now, where can I find one. Considering I have only 71 hours on my tractor over 3 years, has anyone else had this problem. These are supposed to last a lifetime right.

Well after reading several posts here on TractorByNet and several calls to dead ends, I ran across another post from 2012. I then called and was saved by Dave's Tractor Inc, A Branson dealership in Red Bluff, CA Phone: (530) 528-0755

These folks knew what I was talking about and went right to my part on the shelf. So instead of being sold a rebuild kit for $300. + or a complete valve for $800. + from 1 local dealership and 1 nameless in TX. I will have my part being shipped with a new Air Filter for less then $100.

Thank you again Daves Tractor Inc

I bought my tractor from Dave's and look forward to having a real great relationship with them.

My 2016 only has 70 some odd hours on it so far (it's been too wet to plough for the last month or so) and mostly everything's working except the locking mechanism on the rear differential. I push it down with my heel but it pops right back up with the axle not locking. Not sure how this is supposed to engage.

Also though I always use my parking brake the tractor (a hydrostatic) will roll when parked on a slight grade if not braked. I thought I understood that a hydrostatic won't generally roll unless the grade is steep.

Real glad to hear your problem was taken care of!

From what I have read on this forum, Dave sounds like a first class guy with a first class dealership. He is toying with starting an online store for Branson parts. I hope he does.

Mine is the same way. You have to hold it engaged with your foot or it will pop back out. Seems appropriate because if you inadvertently ran around with it engaged for long periods of time. it would really stress the drive components. Mine rolls on not that steep of a grade too. I assumed that was normal. I have tried to make a habit out of always applying the e-brake when I get out of the driver's seat for safety's sake, weather the tractor is running or not.

Yes diff lock you need to press and hold. For the OP usually attachments like loader have only a 1 year warranty, I'm sure you found this out. Good luck with the fix.
