I have a 2013 New Holland T4.75, The gear shifter is stuck, I can go forward and reverse with the shuttle shifter no problem there and I can shift it from low to high, I am just unable to shift it out of the gear that it is stuck in. Can anyone help me with this issue?

can you still move the shift lever through the gears?

Go to the passenger side where the steps are, kneel down and look to towards the rear axle. There are 4 (steel) cables going to the rear axle. The top 2 going to a leaver on the side of the housing, The second one from the top is your gear shift cable. Maybe there is dirt, rock or something jamming the leaver and lube it. The steel cables are similar to bicycle brake cables, just much beefier. I had those break before, but not stuck. Before you take it part, just drive the tractor and try to take it in and out of gear without using the clutch, while accelerating or taking the throttle away fast. Kinda full throttle followed by no throttle making the tractor jerk around. Hopefully she will brake free...

Hi Guys,My T 4.75 has the same issue,stuck in 2nd. It has happened before and was able to get it freed up by just a little tap. This time cant free it ,disconnected cable can not move it ,locked in the transmission. Was thinking I could free up the shifter fork but seems to be no access to the inside the transmission
Billyroy, I got mine unstuck by disconnecting the cable and tapping on the part where the cable connects to the lever that goes into the transmission, it was really easy and didn't take much force. It is working perfectly now.

Yeah that's what I was able to do before, twice once about 2 yrs ago and once last year . This time seem stuck for good . Gonna give it a another try the way desielmonk suggested. Glad you got yours shifting again .
