Hi,
One of the telescoping stabilizer bars on my 2013 Workmaster 35 snapped yesterday. Does anyone know a suitable replacement part or the actual part number? I rewelded the other side, but don't think it's going to last long. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Mike

Wow!

Do you have a picture of the broken one?

What were you doing when it broke?

My best guess is the OEM part is what you are going to need.

Messisks is a good online source if you do not want to go back to your dealer:

However, I would have to ask yourself is what you are doing with the tractor beyond its capabilities, or is something not setup correctly (too much sloop maybe?) because it sounds like you have 2 failures.

Thanks for the reply. We suspect foul play. I am a volunteer at a nature preserve, where we have multiple tractors. Since our equipment is out in the open 24x7, we occasionally have someone that thinks it's funny to mess with our stuff. In this case, we suspect someone pulled the ring pin on one of the stabilizers, which caused it to fall off, and then stressed the one on the other side while someone (another volunteer) was mowing with a brush hog. The vandal also pulled the pin out of our rooster cone on an older tractor, which also wasn't caught until someone (another volunteer) was mowing (scalping, due to the missing pin/chain). We're now making a 10 point checklist for volunteers to check before running any equipment.
One of our ZTRs had water or diesel fuel poured into the fuel tank....had to drain it to get it running normal again. Busy week.

And I realized my original post is wrong: the bar that snapped is the one I welded last year. The other side just fell off due to no pin. We found the right part at the New Holland dealer and it wasn't too unreasonable ($55). I'd just reweld the broken one again, but half of it is lost somewhere in the pasture.

Thanks for clarifying what might have caused the issue, we can now understand the circumstances. I hope going forward there is less tampering with your equipment.

Sounds like you need to set up some surveillance cameras to try & catch them in the act. This type of thing can be costly & possibly get someone hurt or worse.

We've got a few game cameras setup...but yeah, we plan to put a few more in play. Unfortunately, the family that donated the land and setup the preserve wrote in their covenants that no "permanent" structures are allowed (ie barn, shed, security fence, etc) so it is really hard to protect our gear. Everything sits outside, 24x7x365. And on top of that, all equipment is based on donations, and maintenance of the property is 100% volunteers. Myself and a few other retired "gearheads" are what keeps the stuff rolling. It is what it is.....we still have fun.
