2014 CK 2510 safety switch cause non start?

I'm glad I realized you are just kidding!!.. or trying to get a razz out of the sane people!!..

No I am not kidding. One of the advantages to my DK is the fact that it has no seat safety switch. My trucks have no seat belt warning bell or light, some of them have even had that awful safety switch that forces me to put my dirty wet and sometimes muddy boots inside when all I want to do is start it to have it warm when I come back out clean a few minuets later. The neutral safety switches on my older motorcycles that have failed have been disconnected along with those pesky kick stand safety devices that seemed to fail once about every 3 years leaving me stranded. Not one of the tractors or mowerers I own has a functional safety switch in the seat and some will even start in gear with the clutch engaged. Most of my older stuff never had it to begin with and if you follow the rules you simply don’t need them.

I really never saw the need and won’t waste my money or time fixing one just so I have to fix it again later!

I agree 100% with paulfun9! I make sure I understand all the controls on every vehicle I own, and the reason behind each safety switch. If I am willing to accept the risks, and the switch fails (or if I feel the nuisance outweighs the benefit) , it gets bypassed, if I feel the switch is warranted then I replace it.

I take responsibility for my own actions, and if it turns out to bite me in the butt, it is on me. Period

I get it. The kickstand safety switch malfunctioned on my klr650 during an off the beaten path crossing of Quebec Gaspe. It got bypassed then and there, and never reconnected. I suspect the 2014 CK2510 is one that does not have a seat safety switch and the problem is with the clutch switch, time will tell. Thanks.

My 2012 CK35 Hst came with only a safety switch on the clutch. Depress to start. Nothing else. Now, when I mount my backhoe I stand next to the tractor and operate the treadle with my hand so I can see if the attachment points are lining up properly. Very easy to crush the hydraulic filter. Usually takes 3 to 4 mins.
To everyone with a seat switch, neutral and brake switch, how are you guys manovering your tractor to mount your backhoe? Do you have to climb into the seat, put it in gear, release the brake, move maybe 1/2” back, set the brake put it in neutral, climb off and see if it is aligned. Repeat if necessary?
I am not familiar with the gear models or newer hst tractors, but every time I install my backhoe I always wonder how one accomplishes this task with all those safety interlocks.

My 2004 CK30hst is the same as Amvcane's with just a clutch pedal safety switch. I mount my bh the same way too. All those safety switches could be a pain and would jumper once they started to act up. I just pay attention to what I'm doing and wear the seat belt. I guess the same as McDonalds needing to print coffee is hot on their cups. Liability.

that would be odd not having a seat safety switch, if you fall off the seat while driving, you could be run over, not good..

Seat belt!! I have no safety seat switch on my CK2510!

My 2017 ck2510 has the seat switch wich i by passed! I had the same problem with mine ! Starter got water into it . Used a heat gun for 2 minutes it started right up !
And yes the hood is poorly designed with the rubber freezing !! Can’t opens the hood? Apply some silicone grease on the rubber it will help .

If you ever have to boost the battery you can still do it by placing the positive terminal of cable on positive terminal of the starter
