2014 polaris Ranger 570 Trail ride

We took the Ranger to the north cumberland wma for its first trail ride.

We stayed on the easy trails for the most part as we were traveling alone and didnt want to chance getting stuck and relying on the winch to get un stuck.
We drove about 30 miles total and completly enjoyed ourselves. The ranger handled the rocks, ruts, mud and water just fine. Traveling downhill take some gettting used to as it has no ebs but we managed. Had a River crossing that we took running water through the floor board. Wife had her feet on the dash lol.

re: negotiating downhills

With the Rangers (w/o ebs) you learn to brake with your left foot while using your right foot to keep the RPMs up just enough to keep the clutches engaged.

What pwright said. It feels funny at first but give it just enough throttle to keep clutch engaged to keep it slowed down on hills.

I have put my 570 to the test and it has responded. Plenty of power and fun to drive. One complaint would be this thing attracts mud and sticks to the machine. Nice tool to have in the shed

I put mud guards in front of the rear wheels to block the mud from piling up under the seat area. MAde in USA out of an old rubber bed mat worked good

I have heard of people doing that, need to find the time to do it. I am sure it will save me time in the future
