I had never been able to get the 3-pt hitch to work on my T353 HST. The dealer I purchased from was useless and TYM 'deleted' him from their network. Since I had been using this tractor for digging, with a backhoe, I had not been too worried about the 3-pt hitch. I was going to trailer the tractor to a nearby (200 miles) dealer to get it worked on but before I could, the tractor stopped working with a transmission fluid over-head warning. I will not go into details but the hydraulic fluid in the system was HORRID, including finding old silicone gasket material in the suction filter housing. It has only been dealer serviced. I was hoping flushing the hydraulics would fix the 3-pt hitch issue, but no.
Today I read a few places in this forum of TYM owners having issues with the Hydraulic Remote Control Valve Lever needing 'kicked' to get the 3-pt hitch to work. Well, having exhausted everything else, with the tractor flushed and running again, I decided to 'kick' the lever in, towards the rear of the tractor, and amazingly, the 3-pt hitch worked! Thanks for those of you who mentioned this fault.
Thanks for reading this far. Questions: 1) Does anyone know if this issue with the Hydraulic Remote Control Lever has been fixed? If there is a part replacement or some other method to get his fixed properly, instead of hoping a kick will work, I am willing to do what is necessary. 2) The service manual for the 2014 T353 HST says there is an in-line filter that needs to be cleaned or replaced. Sadly, I have no idea where this screen filter is located. One member here posted on the forums that the in-line screen filter is located in a 'tear dropped' looking housing. That was nice to read but impossible to actually find. If anyone can tell me where this screen filter is located it would be greatly appreciated since I know I will have to drain this hydraulic fluid soon because it is still a very dirty system. 3) I posted this question on another thread, had a few comments, but will ask here, too, for anyone that might have this tractor - Does anyone know a replacement part number for the three 70amp relays located above the battery? I did go to NAPA auto, and others, and they could not help me.
