Mahindra 2015 HST
Has anyone cross referenced the filters or know a place to cross over the part numbers for filters, or even have the correct part numbers to cross reference?

Also what fluids are you using for the service?

Thanks
Willie:)

Buy the engine oil filter online from one of the Mitsubishi auto sites. It is a MD134953 and is used on several cars. They run about $7.80. The HST is tough. Fram did have a cross but no more. You are pretty much stuck with the Wako which is a Mitsu owned company. Mahindra did have the best price on those. I think I paid $42 last Summer. Avoid the Cub dealers. They want $60 for the Wako. The hydraulic filter is easy to cross. Fram, Wix, Luberfiner. Luberfiner claims a direct cross. Look for the listing for the 7205 Cub which is the 2015. The fuel filter is easy too. Napa has them for $6- $7. Case also has the Mitsu filters. They used to sell Mitsu clones that used the same filters. Case is pricey though. The Wako HST is very high quality. It has internal bracing which probably makes it cost more. For fluids I use the Mystik JT5. My hydro is quieter with that. I did use Case Hytran Ultra but it's just a touch heavy. It gave an abrupt quality to the hydro that the JT5 does not exhibit. Check the specs on the JT5. Kind of impressive. Seems to be approved for a lot of tractors. $50 at TSC. A little pricey but I like it.

A lot of the filters from Mahindra are starting to go down in price, so you might want to keep checking back with your dealer.

The dealers have been beating up on Mahindra, and Mahindra on it's suppliers and many of the rediculously high prices on filters are now competitive.

I am familiar with the Luberfiner LP6005. It's great for the hydraulic side but I would never use it on the HST line. It does not have the internal bracing of the OEM Wako and weighs about half as much. It just does not seem to exhibit the quality of the OEM Wako. I would stick with the Wako for the HST. Just my .02.

Thanks, I value everyones .02, I am fairly new in the tractor arena and would rather learn the short cuts, tips and sources without reinventing the wheel.
Much appreciated. :)

Outlander, you mentioned getting the oil filter at a Mitsubishi Car Dealer. I went to the only Mitsubishi Dealer locally, with the old filter in hand and he said he didn't have anything like it. He told me to try across town at the Ford Truck Dealer, who sells one of the imported truck lines that had Mit. MOtors in them. No luck there either so I gave up on trying to work with other than a Cub Dealer or say NAPA. I have a Cub Cadet 23HP that uses the same oil filter.
