My glow timer hasn't been working well for at least the last year on my 2015 HST. Over the past month or so, the glow plug light would sometimes stay on or flicker while it was running. When the last storm hit the northeast it wouldn't start. I finally broke down and bought the timer upgrade kit. Tractor started right up and ran like new. Two days later and another storm and turn the key, lights come on, glow heater light works for 20 seconds or so and goes out and nothing happens when I turn the key. Charged the battery, full charge and still nothing. When I jumped the solenoid, the starter would engage for a split second and then the drive would just spin. After a dozen or so tries of trying to start it with the key on and crossing the solenoid, all it does it spin but doesn't engage. Cables appear tight and clean. I haven't checked voltage yet. Sorry to be long winded but didn't know if someone had had the same experience after the glow timer update. I've never had any issues with the starter before. Going from turning over normally to making no sound at all I'm inclined to think it's a connection or ground issue somewhere. Thanks.

That's where I would start.. I would check out both the ground and positive cables. Besides having a bad connection, the cables can fail internally where they are swagged to cable ends... especially if exposed to battery fumes. Then put a voltmeter from the frame to the solenoid lugs while you try to start it. Good luck... and keep warm..!!!

From this part of your description,...

"Two days later and another storm and turn the key, lights come on, glow heater light works for 20 seconds or so and goes out and nothing happens when I turn the key. Charged the battery, full charge and still nothing."

I suspect a start inhibit interlock. Seat, pedals, PTO? etc.

Unless your description of "nothing" is different than mine.
Quick check? Turn on the head lamps. If they are shining bright, GOOD! Now hit the starter (via the key switch) The head lamps should dim. If they dim a lot, you may have a bad cable connection. If they do not dim, it's an interlock somewhere.

Good advice! Headlights didn't dim when I turned the key. Just went back out and racked the transmission in and out of neutral a few times. Tractor turned over, thanks! Unfortunately now the glow light is only coming on when turning the key to turn the engine over. (Doesn't come on with the key turned to on like it should)

Thanks again!

The 15 series Mahindras had a glow plug upgrade kit for older models. You may have a bad timer, controller, or glow plugs themselves. I replaced my glow plugs twice in my 2615 before I found out about the upgrade. If your glow plug light is truly staying on for 20 seconds you have a newer model.
Check the plugs individually, you may have one or more bad.
In your post 4 you say the GP light isn't working properly so it could be the controller / timer.

Thanks, I just did the upgrade two days ago and was working perfectly right up until i finally got it to turn over again.
I pb blasted the ignition switch and now it's working again.
