2015 Massey Ferguson 2615 FWD not engaging

I can not get the fwd to engage in my 2615 I've read the Manuel all it says to do is push the lever down and I'll see the light on the dash turn on to show that it's engaged. When I push it down it only moves down about 1/2 an inch no light comes on. Am I as stupid as I feel or is there something that I'm missing I'm lost. Any info would be nice thank you

Make a tight turn to determine if it's actually engaged or not. Would notice the front wheels fighting/binding in the turn if it is.
