in another thread i was question iditoic commnets by the dealer about not twoing anything with this tractor. the most to try to trailer if you do - is not more than 300 lbs including the driver. I thought that was BS - he said the company states the same too.

i have trailerd serious stuff over 50 years with all tractors and esp since i have had more powerful tractors too. yes garden tractors by the way.

i think it is absolutely absurd to not be able to use it as i normally planned and have used it over decades. 24 hp should be able to tow some firewood or bruch or chips.

but again - the dealer said NO!

so i am asking specifically about this model. as i also stated before - i would never by another husqvarna or use this delaer again for purchasing anything esp since he has been a jerk about fixing issues with a brand new tractor. i hate i got ripped off buying this stupid machine. should have saved my money. thank you.

I would just use it as I wished and forget about what the "advice" was. Use good judgement and you should have no problem. With a lawn tractor as well as CUTs, you are going to run out of traction well before you could damage your transaxle. I well suspect that they limit the amount towed due to the possibility of the trailer pushing you into a position that could damage you and the tractor. The same aspects are used for pickup trucks. The tow limits have little to do with mechanical limitations of engine and transmission but more so on weight of the towing vehicle and its stopping ability.

Thanks Gary! i had to have the trans fixed after 3 hrs use and no trailer towing either. the engine also stutters and pops etc. esp on inclines or declines. go figure and the jerko dealer refused to check it or fix it at 3 hrs when they had it in the shop to fix the trans which ended up under warranty. that is shabby cust service. he blamed fuel - i said no and still after 4 new tanks of fuel it still acts up. fuel works great in all other machines here so - just a terrible mower. AND dealer.

plus they got me for transport there and back and will do it again if they try to check this out - but cannot say it is under warranty - which it should - 3 hrs old and all i did was cut my grass 3x. they are trying to get me to pay for repairs on a defective working tractor. end of story i guess.

i almost feel like just using it and if it dies - just live with a garden tractor and have to use my bog tractor mmm whcih i cannot get it all the places due to serious trees etc. so a lot of manual work - which i just cannot handle for medical and heat and old age crippling stuff.
