2017 season - any new or new used iron on your list?

Thinking about the 2017 season - I was wondering what everyone has on their wish list? For me I already picked up a new Kubota RA1035 rotary rake. Sold the old ford 503 for more that I paid for it and had in it :thumbsup: I am the type that saves up and over thinks before I buy. What are others considering?

Wife seemingly gave me the go-ahead for a brand new accumulator rather than mucking around with my farmhand unit anymore....

8 strings flat....4x2...... hmmmmmm. Kuhn probably won't work because i have so many hills and worry about high center of gravity. Hoelsher is out cause it stacks bales on sides. Steffens looks very good, but very expensive.... UGH.

Might also look for a newer mowco. My deere 1209 is a champ, but i know i could cut much faster than I do now......limited by the sickle.

If money wasn't a problem I'd go for a newer small square baler, accumulator, storage for hay, newer round baler, and finally a larger tractor. Now for reality, looking for a decent square baler. Will use tarps for storage. See about making an accumulator. Continue to use existing round baler. And finally keep my tractor working.

Consider finding a good inline. I love my older Hesston 4550. Very easy on the tractor and me too :thumbsup:

Sounds like a good idea. If it wasn't for us getting ready to build our new house I probably would have purchased one by now. Of course when I will need It most the price will be a premium.

I'm always, at least "looking", but for deals and only for certain tractors...

I'm not interested in any new electro junkola... with all the problems they have...

RPW - some of the older inlines are a good investment - possibly you can find a middle ground....But Family comes first. The Best on the new house...Build it Right

I had to say that as the engineer in me wishes the best. You could start a thread on that as I am sure a lot of us has stories to tell.

No new gear here this year .In the past 4 years i have bought a new Kuhn drum mower , a just like new 224 Massey baler and last year a lightly used Haybob . So this year the old reliable but well used Massey 25 side delivery rake is getting a complete make over . Hopefully we can put up a hay barn of some type this spring .

For me, I am going to get a new hitch set up on this seeder, just picked it up a few months ago. I have the metal cut and drilled just need the welding done and I can put it together. I'll post a picture of it when done.
