I managed to break the lights mounted on the ROPS of my tractor on one side already and that prompted me to look at protecting them and adding some more.
The lights and the guards fit a number of different JD models so they are not specific to one machine only. The brush guard pn BLV 10400 slips between the lamp and the ROPS and the bolts go into the plastic lamp housing. Not the way I would build a bridge.

My tractor also has some wiring harness "stubs" for the factory work lights. Has anyone found the connectors sizes/source for these yet.

The FEL blocks the headlamps pretty good the ropes lighting has a blacked out lens on it that looks like a good spot for forward lights...

Have read some great posts for general advice. Would like to integrate this to the machine.

I moved the ROPS lights to the inside of the ROPS on my 4010 to stop this from occurring. Haven't done it yet on the 2025. Busted one lens on the 1025 in the nearly 2 years I had it.

I have a 2720 which is basically the same tractor you have. I installed the JD factory work lights but I saw a posting recently where someone listed the bullet connectors that are supposed to fit the factory harness. They are available from NAPA Auto Parts. Male: NW784340 Female: NW784354

The JD factory work lights mount on top of the light guards. If you are able to leave your ROPS up all the time, the top of the ROPS is an excellent place for work lights. Unfortunately due to a lot of low hanging branches in my yard I am unable to deploy the ROPS.

I started out with the halogen front and rear work light kit when I bought the tractor 4 years ago and then this past summer I replaced all of the work lights with LED lights. (see below)

The other mod I made to my 2720 was the addition of a side step. I used a step from a 3032e.

Thanks. The lights are primarily for clearing snow in the winter. I do go in the woods to haul out firewood and need to pick my way through the trees. The factory guards don't seem up to the task to me. Moving the lights inboard will get in the way of the backhoe. Like that step.

Was thinking of using something like this: 24 inch 120W LED Light Bar Spot Flood Combo Work Boat Ute Truck SUV ATV 4WD 20" | eBay

and this: 48W CREE LED Work Light Bar Spot Lamp Offroad Tractor Truck Jeep SUV ATV 4x4 4WD | eBay

hooked into the factory harness and switchgear

Do you use the 62D mower deck? Just wondering if the step would interfere with the 62D MMM. If it doesn't, I would like to put that step on my 2720.

I do not use my 2720 for mowing but there are others who duplicated my step project and reported that it does not interfere with the MMM.

Okay, thanks. I'll look into that as soon as the snowblower comes off.
