2120 pto safety switch

I sometimes have to play around with the pto lever to get the tractor to start, but now I can't get it to go. Where is this switch and how can I bypass it. As usual this could not have happened at a worse time. I really need to move the tractor.

I still would like to know about the safety switch, but I have a different problem. Whats funny was that the tractor started and ran for 15 min before I turned it off. 10 min later it wouldn't start. I hooked up jumper cables to a dodge ram, and a vw jetta tdi, neither of which could start it but both did allow the fan to start turning momentarily. How big of a machine do i need to jump this? or might it be something else. One other time it was dead and I got an old gas JD 2010 to jump it.

Have you tried cleaning conections at the battery , did you check the ground . How old is the battery ? If the battery is bad / shorted you may not be able to jump start it .

I can't remember if it is the same but on my 1920 there is a safety switch that goes into the top of the transmission case right under the seat. In order for me to change it I had to un bolt the seat and remove it. I just can't remember if it was the pto but I think it was. I also do not know if it is the same as what you have on your 2120.

There are two wires that go into a switch in the same area of the lever shaft that goes into the rear casting. This is the pto safety switch. I don't remember if it is NO or NC to start, but just try either way.

Look on the New hollamd web site under parts to view the location of the swith is this is not clear enough.
