Which one would I get NOT EITHER ONE OF THEM!!!!!
There was a big difference between the two balers. There are not many 14t's out there still worth having. There are a fair number of parts still available for the 14t. Knottter parts easy to get, springs, bushings usually. Castings and wear plates not so much. As referenced they are steel slides. That was fine when they were new, but that was 50 years ago. The 214ws is a wire tie baler I do believe. Have you priced wire or wire substitute, if not, it will cure you of that question. It is really expensive. 24t was not a bad baler at all IF it was kept inside and taken care of. 214t was the heavy version of the 24t, and the fore runner to the 336. 214t has plunger on bearings and had a hydraulic thrower, #30, great baler if you can get one. If you keep your eyes open you may be able to find a real bargin on a 336. The last one I bought I paid 1000 for, spent 4 days in the shop doing the plunger and knotter and a few other things. In the last 4 years ran about 75K through it. There is nothing on a 336 that is not rebuildable, and parts are easy to come by. If you are doing a fair amount (over 500 a year) spend the extra and find a 336 if you can. You wont be sorry in the long run.
