2150 on side of road!!

My neighbor was driving his 2150 HST 4WD down the road and one of the rear wheels locked up. Several neighbors managed to get it off the road by placing on dolleys and rolling it sideways. Looks like it will spend its first night under the stars; only has 219 hours. Any ideas I could approach him with before he calls a rollback? We jacked up the rear and both wheels are free. One turns one direction and the other turns opposite like they should. But, both will not turn same direction.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Hmm...sounds to me like something in the transmission locked up. Was it still locked up with the range selector in neutral and the 4wd disengaged? The reason the rear wheels will turn in opposite directions when off the ground is the differential spider gears are turning but the differential carrier is locked stationary. Keep us posted on what the outcome is.
