Got my baby today. Wheee. Is there a way to set the back blade high enough to mow with the mid mount mower with out removing the blade? Also, is there a way to find answers to these newbee questions on this site with out posting.
TIA,
Sooty Bob

The lift arms can be pinned to tractor on each side. This would prevent your blade from dropping when you lowered the mower. You would have to block up under your blade to do this safely. I pin my lift arms when mowing because I pull a vacuum trailer. The lift arms would interfer with the trailer as they work on the same lift system as the mower. You can adjust the lift adjustment screw under the right rear fender but you probably could not let your mower down far enough without the blade dragging the ground.

Also, is there a way to find answers to these newbee questions on this site with out posting. If your concerned about asking the obvious, don't be. We were all newbies at first (and I, for one, still have a lot more to learn /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif).

You can use the search feature to find out what has been asked before. Helps to select 'All Forums' (never know what category the pertinent subject may lie under… and we do get off topic at times within the threads /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif). I also find it helpful on the Search Options to select 'And' rather than entire phrase. I usually start with a '1-month' range, and if no hits, start working back in time.

Also, Welcome to TBN!

Sootybob, I would not mow witht the FEL and a rear blade installed. You will be knocking things over left and right. Not sure what you had before /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif but if it was something like a Murray (best dang tractor in the universe) you bump into something and likely no damage but to the Murray but run into something with the BX and SMACKO!! fence gone!, dog flat! house caved in!, car squished, wife not happy!--you get the picture! Have fun. J
