Over the weekend I finally got a chance to mow with my 2210 and 62C. This was my first time mowing with this tractor/deck and I was concerned about the noise level as my deck doesn't have the isolation kit. I haven't done anything about this yet, so was concerned and curious!
What I found was that the deck stays very quiet up to the "PTO RPM" setting. If I pushed the throttle/RPM's any higher, the deck made a high-pitched whine reminisant of a
supercharger or non-synchronized reverse gear on an old car - even 50 more RPM's would cause this.
So...is this intentional to tell you to throttle back, or is this the
dreaded 62C sound I have read so much about? The difference in noise level is incredible.
I would appreciate any input.
