Is any one using a landscape rake with the iMatch on a 2210 ? I was at the dealer today to price a low profile rake. $500 for a 60" Frontier. I really only want a 48" but I do want it to be iMatch compatable. Any ideas ???
I bought a JD 2210 with iMatch and the 60" Frontier landscape rake. First day I had the tractor I switched back and forth a few times between a 48" Frontier box blade and the landscape rake. It hooks up easily to the iMatch, just backup to the implement, hookup or unhook and go. The iMatch setup is nice. From my limited use so far and the posts I have read, I think a 48" landscape rake would be too narrow (what if you want to angle the rake) and too light in weight.
I think you would be better off with the 60 inch too. I have the Fronter 72 inch and it is a bit too much if the ground is wet. Most of the time you will probably have it angled and the 48 won't cover your tracks.
A landscape rake is typically used as a grooming and "finish" grading tool for loose soils, and for road prep and maintenance. The classic landscape rake is the York Rake , the models, of which, serve a broad range of landscaping needs.
Can you get the 60 inch with the gauge wheels...I think that is why I went to the 72, my dealer said he could not find and any gauge wheels for the 60 inch.
