2210 prices

i priced a 2210 this week, less than $10k with no attachments, which surprised me..i was expecting more..that was with 4wd, commercial tires, i can't remember what they called the tires, but they aren't regular tractor tires, and won't tear up the yard...plus hydrostatic drive...these may all be standard on the 2210??? those of you that have one of these tractors, does it handle a 4ft bush hog ok??

Value, that's why I bought the 2210. I think you describe the R-4 "contruction" tires. Yes, hydrostat and 4wd are standard on the 2210. I'm sure the 2210 has plenty of PTO hp to handle a brush hog.

The 2210 has enough Hp to handle even a 5' bush hog. Think it's big enough also to handle the weight of it. If you look at the JD web site and check out the 4010, it's offered with a 5' bush hog and has only 18 Hp.

I think the 2210 would have enough HP for the 5 ft, but weight would be an issue. Someone may know better and has found a way to operate a 5 ft on a sub or smaller compact, but it seems to me if you want a 5ft the machine is probably at least the 4210. (The 4010 can handle a larger rotary mower but the LX4 is its advised rotary cutter.)....Anyway Heehaw, the LX4 will be easily handled by the 2210.

I just ordered one this weekend.
The base price for the 2210 ended up at $9400.
With all the attachments (62" MMM, 210 FEL and Ballast Box, 47" Snow Blower, 48" Frontier Box Blade - the total was $16000. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I purchased one in late July. I have put about 10hrs on it using a 4' bush hog. Mowed a 5 acre field with grass and small brush...did have to slow down once or twice. But the grass and brush was about 6" over the hood.
Completely satisfied with my purchase!!!
