2210 Serial number, how do I decode?

I just bought a 2210 of unknown history from the local dealer. They could not tell me what year it is, but I'm thinking the serial number might have that information embedded in it.

It is: LV2210H216502

Anyone know what year that translates to?

Your dealer can absolutely do this for you! If they told you otherwise then they are lazy and useless.

They can tell the DOM, any service performed at ANY JD dealer, and any warranty claims.

That's what I suspected, but when I asked the sales guy what year it was he said he didn't know, and didn't offer to go look it up.

Guess I'll give them a call on Monday.

Your mistake was asking the sales guy-Call the parts or service counter. There are a few dealers on here that may answer before Monday though...

I think you nailed it- the sales guy circled the tractor three times before he found the plate with the SN on it.

serial # LV2210H216502 was sold on March 4, 2004 from the dealer in Pasco,WA

It has had 3 warranty repairs during the warranty life. None were that big of deal.

The unit has a sticker on it from the Pasco area, which is not far from me. So looks like it's been around the area.

Thanks again- I feel better knowing what year it is. I guess I felt bad to have bought it without knowing that.

Only a JD dealer can get you that info.
