Oil & Fuel 2210 vs. 2320 fuel consumption?

to anyone who has upgraded from 2210 to 2320, what is your experience with fuel consumption? does the 2320 use any more fuel than the 2210? One would think so because of the weight of the machine and it's higher capacity hydrostat. With go-juice pushing $4/gallon (!!#!##!**!*!*!##!) this might be a factor.

I didn't upgraded from a 2210, but did upgrade from a lawn tractor. The way I look at it is the more powerful 2320 tractor can and does so much more it is worth the increase in fuel cost. You get what you pay for.

Megotractor I can't compare the two tractors but there was a post recently about 2320 fuel consumption. Most people seem to be averaging about 1 gal/hour in the cold weather with relatively new machines. Your actual fuel consumption would vary based on what tasks you are doing and what rpm you are running but you should average between 3/4 gal and 1 gal. per hour.

What are you averaging with the 2210?

My feeling would be that the 2320 would use slightly more fuel than the 2210 based on the slightly more powerful and heavier machine but I would think you wouldn't even notice it unless you were actually tracking it.

I have observed approximately 1/2 to 3/4 ga/hr depending on load. Slightly more mowing heavy grass or rototilling.

I could be wrong, but I think the 2320 uses the same engine as the 2305, but is turning bigger tires with the same gear ratios. (that's why it goes faster). It would seem that the load on the engine would be heavier.
