2210 water pump?

Hey have been off line for a while and now that it is prime grass cutting season I now have a problem with my 2210.
Was cuting grass today with no problems till I started to hear a bad squeek under the hood. Stoped and looked and it apears the pully and fan that hook to the water pump are loose. Have not pulled it apart yet. The fan is bolted correctly but the shaft looks like it is wobbling on the pump. are there bearing to replace here? or do I probally just need another water pump. I replace one last year, hate to do it again. thanks, Erick

Sounds like the rotor shaft bearing in the pump. I'm surprised to hear of one only lasting a year. Was last years replacement pump new or rebuilt?

If you are thinking about rebuilding your pump I have a company that contacted us. I think they are --> http://www.atrebuilders.com . If this is the company that sent me the email they are rebuilding the import tractor starters, water pumps, etc and will rebuild your water pump with standard bearings and build it up to last a lot longer. You might try calling them and if it isn't them, let me know and I will dig through my old email and try to find them.

Thanks guys. Now that I think of it I believe I just replace the water jacket where the waterpump mounts and the temp switch mounts, it was all craked up. I think at the time I used the same pump so that pump might have been really old. Can you buy new bearings? If so I might be able to rebuild it but most likly will just get a new one and send off the old to be rebuilt to have a spare. Will find out later this week on how bad it is. Yes you can buy new bearings but you will need a lathe to trim the ends of the bearing shafts to the correct dimensions. It is not a job for the average guy and not worth the risk for the money it costs to have it done professionally. Erick, email me and I will send you the info on getting it rebuilt.

Sorry, lens is right I was referring to generic over the shelf water pump bearings. I forget sometimes, Yanmar actually sells parts. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif
